Turbulators break-up the laminar flow of fluids or gasses inside the tubes or flue passes of heat exchange equipment to promote greater contact with the tube wall resulting in more even heat distribution and improvement in heat transfer coefficients. They are custom-made for every application and fabricated in such a way that the coil OD closely matches the tube ID, providing the greatest measure of conductive heat transfer. Turbulators can help to extend equipment life by eliminating hot and cool spots that cause thermal stress and can also reduce the formation of soot by improving combustion characteristics to lower maintenance costs.
