Product Overview

The KROHNE H250-C variable area flow meter is an all-metal instrument designed for use with aggressive media. With all components coming in contact with the medium available in either PTFE or ceramic, the H250-C can be used with virtually all acids and alkalis. By including a wide range of display, communication and other options, the H250-C is a reliable and versatile instrument ideal for measuring the flow of liquids and gases in nearly any application or environmental condition.

KROHNE H250-C variable area flow meters are available in sizes from 1/2" to 4" with corresponding flow rates ranging from as low as 0.66 gph (0.011 scfm for gases) to as high 15,850 gph (217 scfm). The basic accuracy for flow readings is ±2.5%. Due to its sturdy, all-metal construction, the H250-C ensures high resistance to pressure, temperature and media. The modular design of the meter and indicator allows users to adapt the H250-C to customer-specific applications including those in hazardous areas.

The KROHNE H250-C variable area flowmeter operates of the float principle. Depending on the flow rate, the float will assume a certain vertical position in the tube. The float position is transmitted by a magnetic coupling system to the scale. This simple, time-tested design will ease installation time and lower maintenance demands.

The KROHNE H250-C variable area flow meter is available with the following indicator options:
