Product Overview

The 888 utilizes ultraviolet (UV) spectroscopy to accurately monitor hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and sulfur dioxide (SO2) concentrations in sulfur recovery tail gas.

The analyzer delivers next-level reliability, with automatic flow control, flange temperature alarm and an extended ambient temperature range providing solutions to the most common external failure modes.

There are two configurations of the 888 available for sulfur recovery measurements. The original 888 is compact and rugged, and mounts directly on to the process pipe, eliminating the complexity and safety issues of fiber-optic coupled photometers. The 888L is suitable for end users or end use locations that require the analyzer electronics and interface be located away from the sampling location. The 888L electronics and measurement enclosures can be mounted inside a shelter or at a location other than on the process pipe, and it includes a remote demister probe that is installed at the sample tap, and heated sample lines that transport the process sample gas to and from the measurement enclosure.

Designed specifically for monitoring H2S and SO2 in sulfur recovery tail gas, the 888 analyzers are built on more than 40 years of field-proven application experience, and provide an ideal solution for the hydrocarbon processing industry.

HIGH-LEVEL RELIABILITY
Automatic flow control allows a proactive response to adverse process conditions. The flange temperature alarm provides an early warning of poor-quality steam. An extended ambient temperature range enables problem-free operation up to 60oC (140oF).

RANGE OF SAFETY FEATURES
The 888 analyzers include many features to enhance technician safety in hazardous locations. They offer a close-coupled, easily accessible, process-isolated demister, and complete isolation from the process with double-block valves. A remote PC web-enabled interface is available.

EASY MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE
Smart diagnostic models identify, communicate and react to potential problems. In addition, a 2x over-range measurement allows the operator to make an informed response to process upsets.

The 888 and 888L are our reliable, trusted UV spectroscopy solutions for sulfur recovery tail gas analysis
