Product Overview

Long-life, precise temperature measurement without wear, for industrial applications, for example in machine and plant construction, as well as for ship components and supply technology in shipbuilding.

In the original SIKA thermometer type BDR, the casing with temperature scale can be axially rotated by 360° and thus adjusted so that it can be read in any viewing direction.

Casing

Nominal size 110 mm, 150 mm or 200 mm. Aluminium, V-shaped, smoothly polished on all sides, anodised in brass colour, numbers of the display range printed in black on the right-hand side of the scale under the anodised layer. Adjustable by means of brass lock nut (AF22), can be read in any viewing direction, 90° for angle thermometers, connection immersion tube / casing by grooved pin and locking screw. Advantage: No turning of the casing required during assembly.

Glass insert (capillary)

Circular capillary in rod form made of solid glass, approx. 8 mm Ø, as well as white background with blue liquid filling and yellow background with mercury. The graduation of the capillary is burnt in black and therefore absolutely durable. Main graduation marks, which correspond to the numbers printed in the casing, are particularly strong and distinctive.

Thermometric filling

In standard version from -30 to 250 °C blue thermometric liquid ("Fü"); for display ranges from 0...300 °C only mercury filling* (abbreviation "Hg") is technically possible and only for nominal sizes 150 mm and 200 mm.

Immersion tube

Made of brass as a standard for temperatures up to 300 °C, beyond that made of steel. On request special brass or CuNiFe alloy suitable for sea water. For aggressive media made of stainless steel. The diameter of the immersion tube types "B" and "Da" is Ø 10 mm; wall thickness 1 mm.

Scale graduation values and error limits

SIKA industrial thermometers meet the requirements of DIN 16195 "Requirements and testing of industrial glass thermometers". Scale graduation values and error limits are defined depending on the casing size and the display range.
